I know some adult humans with little dog syndrome. They were small and cute their whole lives so people spoiled them and allowed them to get away with everything their entire lives.

I fostered and adopted a two year old “bitey” Chi. Hunter was one of those neglected, abused dogs. I went into the situation aware of what I needed to do for him. No lap, no picking him up, etc…. He bit me a few times. Then after talking with a couple behaviorists. I listened and set their advice in motion. He did well for months on end. Then, all of a sudden he would rip up my hand. My vet put him on Prozac. That gave him severe headaches! So back to the routine. After the years he bit me over 30 times. I had to make the heart wrenching decision to have him euthanized after 3 years of trying my hardest. Three vets told me he had a bi polar disorder. 😂😂😂

As a former Chihuahua owner.. I can tell you it’s very easy to teach them not to do those things! Mine was a little sassy — with me, but she loved other people, never bit a single person. The vet loved her sweet nature!! I never had a single issue with her and she was my first little dog/chihuahua. People need to own a larger dog before owning one of these dogs. I had dogs a child.

I've rescued one years ago and she was a biter. I let her bite me and all I did was put my hand in her mouth. I looked in her face I didn't let go and I said in a low voice no.She only did it twice. I loved her so much she was a great dog. She did respect me and loved me. Then a last year she got really sick and had to put her down. I would do it again I have no regrets. The person I got her from was scared of her that is how I got her. I used to work with a rescue great experience.

I have a rescue chi. She draws blood when she bites. She has come along way but we never trust her completely…worst part is she gives the best kisses when she wants to. She is lucky she is cute

Funny maybe but let me tell you we rescued a minpin chi x at 4 months. She is now 13 and adjusted better not perfect. Both my husband and I have been bloodied but we stuck with her because we were committed to her and had we taken her to a shelter she would have been put to sleep.
