Good intentions but sharks swimming or even being dragged backwards can cause severe damage to the gills and kill it shortly afterwards, especially being beached already struggling to breathe

They’ve been stranding themselves for several years. This is due to an infection they’re getting in utero. CarnoBactyrium, it causes encephalitis in the brain before they’re born. They become disoriented and start stranding themselves. First reported in any shark species.

Sharks are just big sea puppies. My mom thanks god everyday we don’t live by a beach because and I quote, “I could see you on the news now, local woman dead after attempting to pet sharks,” anyways, I love sharks. They’re actually fairly intelligent and despite popular opinion, they don’t attack people on purpose. Shout out to this woman for helping a sea puppy. 😭🖤🖤🫶🏻
