This is the only scenario in which I can see Cersei growing into a mentally stable person capable of self reflection and long term planning. They don't together as well as Ned and Cat but they do pair together VERY well at the start of Robert's rebellion.

The thing is show Cersei might fall for Ned but the reality is no matter how kind and good he was to her Cersei doesn’t love in a normal way it would take a miracle she may grow or tolerate as like him but she loves her kids in the book but not in a normal way either it would be a hard sell especially with Jon
