@kalejunkie: MAKE-AHEAD BOURBON INFUSED CRANBERRY APPLE SAUCE, a new one this year and let me tell you-if you think you don't like cranberry sauce, this will change your mind forever! € Cranberries and apples go hand in hand, and the added bourbon that takes cranberry sauce from a boring side dish to something amazing! This one is not on the website until next week, so SAVE this post, and get the recipe here instead! Makes 16 servings 1 green apple, diced finely 1 honey crisp apple, diced finely 1 large orange, zested and juiced 1 large lemon, zested and juiced 2 12oz bags of cranberries, rinsed well 1 cup sugar 1 cup water 3 oz bourbon Chop your apples, and zest & juice the orange and lemon-set all of that aside. Next, add the cranberries, sugar, and water to a pot and cook over medium heat for about 7-8 minutes, or until the skins pop open. Add apple, zests, and juices and cook for about 15 minutes more, then add in the bourbon. Reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes more until thickened. Remove from the heat and let cool completely. The sauce will continue to thicken. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
