I’m South Asian and I used that argument for many years due to internalized racism and feeling ostracized and like the ‘black sheep’ in my conservative culture as a queer woman but I grew up and learned about white supremacy and I’m growing past it :)

It’s long past time we stop fighting about it. In North America we all know where we stand, Asian men and women. The online dating stats don’t lie - top tier are white male and Asian women. Bottom tier is Asian men and Black women. When Asian women look around, feel the societal pressures and the need to establish their place in the social totem pole, it just makes sense to be where the top tier is. It’s not their fault - preferences are shaped by experiences. If you’re an Asian dude and life has always felt like you always had to prove yourself each and every step of the way, but you didn’t see that occur with other races…not a surprise that the Bruce Lee syndrome persists decades later.
