I think people in European countries don’t always understand that castles, kings, knights, etc are all stuff out of fairytales to Americans. It feels very surreal to see that kind of thing in person.

My first trip to Ireland I was 4 met all this family for first time and got to be in my cousin’s wedding party. Tge reception was in a castle. It was my first wedding and I really thought for awhile they all happened in castles; I blame the brothers Grimm
