@tikabobika: When I was little, I remember how my mom’s life revolved solely around us— me and my sister. We had a very structured life with week days consisting of school and work and weekends revolving around shuffling us to different extracurricular activities. I am so grateful for the support and love my mom gave us. What makes me sad is that I feel I didn’t get to see my mom let her hair loose until after we became adults. She reads, gardens, hosts book clubs, travels so much now. I made a promise that my son would get to know the real me. He would see the side where I let my hair loose, be my truest self, and follow my dreams.
