Cereal Killer :
Ehh, use what you want, but they do create higher resistance unions than wire nuts while costing a LOT more.

They are triple the price. That’s the main problem

They are triple the size of a regular wago, good luck making it fit in a single gang box with an gfci in it

only reason why we wont switch to wago is bosses being cheap, same reason why we never use crimp connector for terminals and just go with bare wire

I use them on my solo work. I have a feeling California is going to act like Europe and mandate them.

wagos are too big to fit in regular electrical boxes (especially if you have more connections)

Wagos are fine for your house but for the love of god stop using them on vehicle wiring or on anything that vibrates.

Mr Lizard :
what wago would you use for 240v 50 amp? do you just buy one that'll fit the gauge or is a special one required for the voltage and amps? not an electrician, but it seems like these would be better suited for when things like a water heater breaks vs. wirenuts.

I like them for dimming circuits, but with wire nuts I can just add a lot more wires and also different sizes size of insulation jacket they have their place in the world

TurdnuggetsV2 :
But is the cost worth it tho because the wire nuts are ridicules cheap compared to the wago, if it was my own house and a circuit spliced more than 3 times in a box wago all the way if I have them on hand but a job wire nuts, plus with practice it doesn’t take long to twist one on properly
