@enphemeral: I hate how dumb societal standards shape the way people see you. I relate so much to Sunoo because, as a woman who doesn’t express my emotions the same way others do, even the closest people around me wrongly speculate about who I am because I don’t fit their idea of what a “woman” should be. In an industry as harsh as this one, being an idol is already hard enough. I can’t imagine having every move dissected and criticized. Sunoo’s sensibility, his softness, his so-called “feminine” traits, I love those things about him. I love that he’s comfortable with his emotions and aware of his limits. What I’ll never understand is how people take these beautiful parts of who he is and twist them into assumptions about his sexuality, attacks on his talent (when he has some of the best duality in the entire industry, by the way), or reasons to tear him down. I like to believe K-pop fans are open-minded and aware of these issues, but clearly some people still have a lot to learn.
