@detroit75kitchen: We started Detroit 75 Kitchen, honestly, because we had to. Our family owned a truck stop on Fort St. that relied on the semi drivers crossing the bridge to and from Canada. When the Great Recession hit, and the auto industry in Detroit went belly-up, so did a lot of the business we needed to survive. I always dreamed of owning a restaurant, but Detroit 75 was born out of desperation as much as passion. We know that, no matter what, we had to try to save our family business and keep ourselves afloat. It's been more than a decade since we made that decision, and we're constantly blown away by the support we've received from our community. I know things are tough right now, but that doesn't mean they will be forever. Trust me, it's amazing how much can change for the better with hard work and a little time. - Chef Mike #SmallBusiness #backstory #communityfirst
