Make a square out of tubes and use that as a square.. you don’t want to ruin you square with welding spatters

Why not use the square to make a square fixture..then you still have a square square to check squareness.

I could see this being useful in so many ways. And not just welding applications. I would definitely keep a flat one on hand as well.
