no literally i've never worn glasses and no one in my family did. when i was told "don't wear my glasses, they have medicine in them" by my friends in hs, i never thought anything of it 😭 idk why they tryna gaslight ppl

I’m legitimately curious where you grew up. I grew up in stabilized society and literally never ever heard anybody ever say that glasses had medicine in them. Literally never ever heard that.

No shade but adults told us alot of things when we were kids but aging and developing critical thinking should have help you learn what was and wasn’t true. By middle school you should have used a magnifying glass or microscope in science class & put 2&2 together that glasses don’t have medicine but magnified to adjust to a person vision. This is basic age 12 concepts

I get your point and I agree with you, but I do feel like there gets to a point where there should be some basic things that most adults should know or at least ask about. If you don't know certain things that's fine, everyone's path is different, but there are some adults who just moved through life without asking questions and therefore do not know things out of their own volition.

People around me used to say this too. Grew up in GA. Hell I think even the Optometrist said this too so they didn’t have to explain too much!! 😭😭Everyone literally has misconceptions about everything.

As a child I figured out how lenses aided vision just by using a magnifying glass and trying on my parents different glasses, not to mention using telescopes and microscopes in school. I didn't need adults to explain that shit to me. I have no doubt however that she has waved that degree in people's faces to prove to herself that she has the higher intellectual prowess. Give us a break. 🙄

Am I the only one that’s never heard of “medicine in glasses”. I’ve heard of prescription glasses and fake glasses but never medicine in glasses.
