I got the long awaited apology a few months ago. It took 20 1/2 years since she cheated and left me. I had finally given up on ever hearing it. When she called I thought something had happened to one of our grown kids. But she said nicer things about me than she did for the 25 years we were together. I have to say it was nice to hear but it wasn’t as life changing as I thought it would be. It did help give me some closure and I realized that it was her that was the problem and not me as much as I thought it was. I thank God for getting me through the whole nightmare that still haunts me every once in a while all these years later.
