We’ve been sharing a lot of our bread-baking adventures on stories lately… mostly Gus in his element (and me cleaning up the flour all over the floor 🙃). He’s got this way of making everything look so smooth — even if it makes a big mess in my kitchen. It was a bit of fun (and a challenge!) to shoot a reel with him, but so many of you have been waiting for this recipe… so here it is: our One Day Bread. Recipe is now up for you to try! Ingredients: Flour: 800 g Water: 500 ml Milk: 100 ml Sugar: 10 g Yeast: 14 g Salt: 12 g Olive oil: 12 g Yogurt (for brushing) Sesame seeds (for sprinkling) Method: 1.	In a large bowl, mix the water, milk, sugar, and yeast until dissolved. 2.	Add a little of the flour and mix to form a smooth paste. 3.	Stir in the salt, then gradually add the remaining flour until a dough forms. 4.	Rest the dough for 5–10 minutes. 5.	Slowly add the olive oil and mix at a slightly higher speed until the oil is fully incorporated. 6.	Let the dough rest again for 5 minutes. 7.	Shape the dough into one large ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover and rest for 30–40 minutes, or until doubled in size. 8.	Turn the dough onto your bench and divide into balls of about 140 g each, sealing the edges to form smooth rounds. 9.	Cover and Rest the dough balls for another 30 minutes. 10.	Shape into pitas. Cover and rest for 10 minutes. 11.	Brush each pita with yogurt and sprinkle with sesame seeds. 12.	Bake directly on the preheated heat bricks at 280°C until golden brown. Note on Heat Bricks: For best results, this bread is baked on heat bricks. Place them on an oven rack or tray and preheat your oven at least 1 hour before baking. You want the bricks extremely hot — around 280°C (or as hot as your oven will go). Heat bricks are not standard house bricks; they are fire-safe and can be found at places like @Bunnings store that supplies wood-fire ovens. #foryourepage #fyp #foryou #bread #baking
