Any second strike targeting survivors would not be routine, and would immediately raise legal red flags. Even if the vessel was previously designated hostile, survivors who are unarmed and not actively resisting cannot be legally executed. Clinging to debris or a sinking boat is not a threat, and under U.S. military doctrine, this would not justify a follow up lethal strike. So what are the plausible explanations? Adm. Bradley was pressured. The admiral followed an illegal order. There’s a cover-up or shift of blame happening. The White House press briefing framed Bradley as acting within the law, to protect Secretary Hegseth or shield the administration from fallout. A trained U.S. Navy admiral would never authorize a strike like this under normal conditions. So either something unlawful was ordered, or something unlawful was carried out and is now being spun as legitimate.

OK, so what I heard when this all originally happened was that there were two survivors and they were taking them to a naval ship to be interrogated. That was the official statement.
