@the_online_cookbook: Ingredients: - 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons (140g) all-purpose flour - 1/4 cup (21g) unsweetened natural cocoa powder - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips - 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, chopped into tiny pieces - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract - 1/2 cup (99g) granulated sugar - 1/3 cup (71g) light brown sugar, packed - 2 large eggs, at room temperature - 2 tablespoons (28ml) whole milk - 1 and 1/2 cups milk chocolate M&Ms - 1 cup milk chocolate chips Garnish: - 1/4 cup M&Ms - 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Directions: 1. Preheat your oven to 300ยฐF (150ยฐC). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and lightly spray them with non-stick spray. Set them aside for later. 2. Whisk dry ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Give it a quick whisk and set it aside. 3. Melt the chocolate & butter: In a large microwave-safe bowl, place the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped butter. Heat them in the microwave on low power for 15-second intervals, stirring well in between, until everything is melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat, as the mixture can seize up. 4. Mix in the wet ingredients: Whisk the vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture, then stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until fully combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Lastly, stir in the milk. 5. Combine wet & dry ingredients: Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix - a little lumpy is fine! 6. Fold in the M&Ms & chocolate chips: Gently fold in the M&Ms and milk chocolate chips. You want everything to be combined but not overworked. 7. Scoop & bake: Scoop about 1/4 cup of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Make sure the cookies are spaced at least 2 inches apart. Bake one tray at a time for 16-18 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are glossy and dark. 8. Garnish & cool: As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, press a few extra M&Ms and chocolate chips into the warm cookies. Let them cool completely on the baking sheet before serving (if you can resist!) Enjoy these heavenly, soft batch cookies with a glass of milk, or just devour them straight off the tray-you won't be able to stop at one!
