amphoreus was beautifully written and i adore it but the angst was so intense that i prefer the feeling i had in penacony 😭 i know it was angsty too but it hit differently and had a more heartwhelming story

penacony was so peak, after amphoreus everything feels so overwhelming, the meta is impossible without all the newest 5* characters and it made me loose interest in the game so much which is so surprising to me because i LOVED hsr during penacony

I hate the feeling of nostalgia. I really loved hsr it was one of my biggest interests I literally was up to date on all news, all meta, all leaks, all kits, I theorycrafted, I calculated character kits/damage, I enjoyed interacting with the community they were so nice, I loved the characters and genuinely felt ATTACHED (don’t really feel that with a single ampherous character,) I actually loved the story and it didn’t feel like a pain to play (like ampherous,) now all hsr is is a game I log in for dailies endgame resets or story just to slightly pay attention and I’m nowhere close to as invested as I was in penacony.

I actually miss penacony so much 😟 I miss how gut wrenching some of it was and how cool the lore was. Most devastating parts were definitely Aventurine and Oak siblings related. Aventurine’s story messed me up I genuinely cried in that one scene.

Amphoreus was really underwhelming for me, penacony will always be one of hoyo’s best written arcs, and i dont think any hsr update will be able to top it, atleast not for me🙁

I’m fairly new to Hsr but I finished Penacony a few days ago and it was so peak the city was so beautiful and the twists and turns it had was great and the characters like firefly and Sunday were amazing and I’m really liking amphoreus right now but Penacony is probably my favorite part of the story so far
