I was saved from a pulmonary embolism after my surgery. I still remember the intercom repeatedly saying CODE BLUE and everyone running to my room. The weirdest thing I will never forget was that I was “out” but remember every single sound and comment the nurses and my family members in the room were saying. Being rushed to ICU from general medical I also remember the speed of staff and moving my bed. I’m most grateful for all those angels that saved me, I will never forget you. 🙏

my husband told me this is exactly how they all started running when they called code blue in CT (it was me) over the speakers and he knew I was back there so he took off running with them and found out it was me I went into asphyxiation and immediately cardiac arrest followed... came to find out I was allergic to the iv contrast dye. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 very thankful for all the doctors and nurses that were on staff that moved like this to revive me.

yes Respiratory Therapist running with the vent. We are unspoken heros also...... We never get the recognition but I love my job running to every Code blue, every Code pink, intubating, getting a patient of the vent coming out of open heart surgery, helping a newborn with meconium aspiration. Every day is different everyday is a Respiratory Therapist, Nurses, Doctors, CNAs, MAs put on smile and go hard for our patients daily.
