I watch Mikayla from her first videos inside her closet bedroom while she worked at Ultra. her content wasn't my interest but seeing her change her own life before my eyes day by day within 2 years is i think pretty amazing. inspite of mikayla over using filters and we know every body does it..

A lot of Jaclyn’s audience aged out. Those who were close to her age when she was on YouTube could relate to her. Living in apartments or small starter homes, we were going out. Dating. Starting careers in offices. Buying more products because of those reasons. She was showing things that everyday people could afford even if it was a splurge (an $80 foundation vs a $2,000 handbag now) She made it big off of us and thats great! But shes showing herself buying $4,000 worth of handbags and the rest of us are now at an age where we are thinking how am i going to afford a $700 a month car payment for a used car. Makayla came up on TikTok with a wide range of audience some are still too young to understand she is the exception and not everyone can make it as an influencer and think they too can be her. Even the girl she gave the give a way to who showed up at her house was like 18. I don’t think Jaclyn is pulling in an audience under 30 and at that age we have real life experience, a lack of disposable income, and higher expectations so she is out of touch with her audience and especially the ones who got her where she is.

The basic truth is, is a new time and new era… the same way we have new artists,actors and slowly ppl start forgetting about the old ones…. Same as influencers, it’s not 2016 anymore most of us are into the new faces, upcoming ones. In less than 5 yrs mikayla would be facing same thing, cause by then, there will be new set of faces….
