hi, German here, we have literally laws for books. like the pricing has to be same whether u buy it online or at a bookstore. has to do with us being "the country of thinker and poets". and yes, prices include tax. also I feel like every newly released fantasy, romance book since 2021 has a page overlay and/or sprayed edges. tbh it lost its specialness to me. also some brands like Bücherbüchse do other sprayed edges than the regular ones u can buy everywhere
