📢 AMPTV – Official Statement Regarding Armenia’s Withdrawal from Eurovision 2026* Following careful internal discussions, AMPTV would like to inform the public that Armenia will not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. This decision has been made after evaluating the overall environment surrounding next year’s event and considering the concerns expressed by various groups within Armenian society. Given the current circumstances and the participation of Israel in the 2026 contest, AMPTV has concluded that it is not possible to ensure representation that aligns with the expectations and sentiments of our public. We emphasize that this decision is solely related to the specific context of the 2026 edition and does not reflect Armenia’s long-standing appreciation for the Eurovision community, its values, and its ability to bring nations together through music. AMPTV remains committed to cultural exchange, international cooperation, and supporting Armenian artists on global platforms. We hope for conditions that will allow Armenia to return to Eurovision in future years.

I'm a huge Eurovision fan, but I won't be watching next year. This kind of Israel has nothing to lose there. The EU flaunts human rights but allows a country that flouts all humanity towards an oppressed people to participate in what should normally be one of the annual highlights of friendship and tolerance within Europe.
