My intention of this post is to raise awareness. So that people like me can stop blaming themselves for the way they are. It’s not to scare you. I blamed myself for over 40 years. And I know how painful it is. If you scored high, I’m with you. I’ve had many moments where I almost gave up on myself. If you know that feeling… I get it. I know the struggle in my own way. But I also know this—there are ways out. I don’t want you to struggle as long as I did. Healing might take time, but it is possible. You’re not alone. If you put down more than a few fingers, I just want to say: You are not broken. You adapted to survive. These questions come from the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) test. And they help explain why so many of us feel exhausted, anxious, or stuck— even when life looks “fine” on the outside. If your body still walks on eggshells, if you still feel like it’s your job to keep everyone happy, if you’ve always felt “too much” or “not enough”… this is probably why. Your nervous system didn’t forget what it took to survive. Let’s rewire our brains, because neuroplasticity is real. Your brain can change. It can unlearn survival patterns. It can build new ones rooted in safety, joy, and self-worth. I’ve been a therapist for over 10 years and still hold my LPC. However, I currently only offer 1-on-1 online intensive coaching focused on deep somatic work and cycle breaking. (If you are interested, check the link in my bio) Because of the depth of this work, spaces are very limited. Here are therapy resources that can help: Psychology Today The largest directory to find licensed therapists near you. TherapyDen Inclusive and affirming therapist search—great for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent folks. Open Path Collective Affordable therapy sessions, $40–$70 for those without insurance. Inclusive Therapists Culturally responsive, anti-oppressive care from diverse providers. EMDRIA Find trauma-informed EMDR therapists. Somatic Experiencing Directory Search for body-based trauma therapists trained in somatic healing. BetterHelp / Talkspace Online therapy options you can access from home. Alma / Headway / Sondermind Connect with licensed therapists who accept insurance. Asian Mental Health Collective Culturally aware support for AAPI communities. Therapy for Black Girls Mental health directory and resources for Black women. Latinx Therapy Therapist directory and education for the Latinx community. *this is not medical advice. entertainment purpose only* #childhoodtrauma #cptsd #cptsdsurvivor #cptsdrecovery #cptsdawareness #aces
