A French Frenchie 🐶 I met Margot at Coopers’ Dog Park in downtown Vancouver. I was drawn to her little underbite, and her cute little jagged teeth that showed when she smiled. She’s an old-style Frenchie with a serious face and a mind of her own. Getting up there in age. Stubborn. Selective hearing. Anxious around people. Isabelle (@routhierisabelle) told me, “She thinks she’s a person, not a dog.” And I can totally see why. When I asked if she’d sit for a portrait, she only agreed after a few treats and some patient French commands. Smart girl! P.S. Big thanks to the awesome humans in the back who recognized me, and helped me win over Margot’s owners. They have a CUTE Shiba, and I did a photoshoot with them right after this one. Replying to @Mia♟️ For anyone that says barefoot shoes are ugly… I’m not trying to be a bully in reverse—like, “You called my barefoot shoes ugly, so I’m calling your tabi shoes ugly.” But I do think it’s worth pointing out how ridiculous it is that an entire industry, supposedly making products for feet, refuses to acknowledge the natural shape of a human foot (at least before it’s been deformed by decades in modern footwear). Even when they create a shoe with a split toe (hi, Nike Air Rifts), they still bend the big toe inward and cram the other four together. Before we even get to labels like “trendy” or “fashionable,” we should be asking: is it foot-shaped? Is it healthy? Because if a shoe can’t meet those basic standards, it doesn’t matter how cool it looks, it’s not something we should be putting on our feet. So if you’re curious about toe shoes because they’re trending this summer, consider giving barefoot shoes a try. IMO, they look better, and they feel a million times better. #barefootshoes #tabishoes #footshaped
