Sometimes life throws very unexpected things at us. 😳 A week ago my daughter and I were out running errands. When we left Walmart there were a bunch of dog kennels set up in the parking lot across the street at PetSmart. We decided to check it out as I figured they could use some love and attention.... That’s not how it went through 💕 My daughter ran straight over to a kennel on the end with an older dog. She had no interest in the puppies and all the other cute dogs there. It was like a magnet pulled her to this dog. He was so sweet. He would lift up his paw, kiss and just had this sweet old soul vibe to him. Honestly haven’t met any dog like him before. 💕 We left after a bit but my daughter continued to talk about him and she couldn’t stop. She wanted to go see him “really bad” again and felt such a strong connection. I feel like I lost my mind at that point because I decided we could go back. I admit there were thoughts going on in my head trying to figure out if we “could make it work” since he was truly special but I didn’t want to give her hopes up. We asked if we could take him on a walk and after that my heart was becoming attached too❤️ He has been with an amazing foster care organization here that helps adopt out dogs called “Arrows Heart Rescue”. He had been to a handful of events where he is basically there for people to meet him and adopt if they wanted but he hadn’t been adopted yet. I’m sure others had a harder time looking past his allergy condition, fur condition and older age but we fell in love with him! 🐾 My whole family went back a couple hours later to meet him. It took less than a minute and everyone was in love. ❤️ Soon after, we signed the papers and we officially have an addition to our family 🧑 👩 👧🏼 👦 👧🏼 👦 🐕 🐈 🐈‍⬛ 🐰 +🐕 The timing isn’t great but the way everything aligned we didn’t want to lose out on this sweet blessing….In just a week he has brought SO much love, peace, joy, laughter and comfort to our home. It’s been a hard year and I truly believe God knew we needed him and that he needed us! ❤️ #dogrescue #dogadoption #rescuedog #dogstory #dog #rescuedogsoftiktok #adoptdogs #doglove
