Kaylankford :
Depending on what you plan to do with a foal I would either breed or retire her. Btw I’m so sorry about your horses’ injuries.

The Amateur Owner :
send her to Germany to live in a big field and be a mom. If foals are nice,then you can bring them to the US. Import under 731 days old to bypass CEM

Try the surgery! You could breed her while she is recovering from the surgery! That’s what I’m doing with mine (having kissing spine surgery)

Aww that’s so sad. Personally you should avoid the surgery because the dangers of surgeries. I would say to retire her but that’s just my opinion.

This is a personal decision & depends on the case. My jumper was never the same after surgery & we had to retire him afterwards anyway. I’d breed her!

@mcclaine_cobb:do NOT do the surgery, it’s not worth it, it’s a waist of a LOT of money. Use her as a broodmare

Personally if it were my horse I think I would try the surgery and if that doesn’t work breed her! Most mares love being a mom

@jesshunter :
I personally would breed from her and then after if you really need/ want her to be back in work then possibly try surgery but it’s only 40% accurat

Give her a few more months, then get another opinion, and if nothing has changed, I’d go with the surgery. If surgery dosent work breed her. 🌅💖💖🐴
