We had dead bolt on Victorian closet. Found out that is where they kept safe.

Maybe the deadbolts were for roommates in a shared home. Same for closet in case you forget to lock room door. My guess 🤷🏾♀️

Place a camera or two in the closet and one in your room facing the closet. It’s possible there’s a trap door inside with someone living in it.
