Ramadan Recipes: Harissa & Halloumi Garlic Bread After seeing @Meliz Cooks halloumi & olive garlic bread, I was dying to recreate it but unfortunately I’m not a huge fan of olives, I had a jar of harissa that was calling my name and voila - so happy with how it turned out I had to share with you all. Harissa Garlic Butter Recipe: - 1 sourdough boule - 100g unsalted butter - 3 cloves garlic, minced - 1 tbsp chopped coriander - 1 tbsp harissa paste Cheese Mix: - 100g grated halloumi - 150g grated mozzarella - 1 tbsp chopped coriander Method: 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. 2. In a small saucepan, melt together the butter, minced garlic, chopped coriander, and harissa paste. Set aside. 3. Combine the grated halloumi, mozzarella, and coriander in a bowl. Set aside. 4. Using a sharp knife, make a crisscross pattern on the top of the boule or round loaf, cutting about 1 inch apart and roughly ¾ of the way through the bread. Leave the bottom ¼ intact to prevent the bread from falling apart. 5. Spoon the garlic butter mixture into the crevices of the bread, reserving 2-3 tablespoons to drizzle on top later. 6. Stuff the cheese mixture into the cuts until all of it is used and drizzle 1-2 tbsp garlic butter over the top of the cheese. 7. Wrap the bread with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. 8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Brush with remaining garlic butter and serve immediately, enjoy! #ramadanrecipes #garlicbread #harissa #halloumi
