Generally at the end of the year, you trade in an old piece of equipment and buy the new, you get depreciation from the old as well as cost of the new

I agree with you. 22% tax rate plus state tax rate 4.25% plus self employment tax 15.3%. You could save a lot. There are generalized numbers

don’t think it’s necessarily to save on taxes it’s either pay money to Uncle Sam and not see it again... or buy a piece of equipment and write it off
