The holes allow the air to circulate around the food being cooked. This hampers the cooking process. Just spray with olive oil and clean up is easy!

Defeats the purpose of an air fryer. If you’re unable to get your parts clean, spray them with Dawn Powereash Spray. That stuff is life changing!
