I’m pretty sure it’s more of a feeling blind people would get when taking psychedelics. Maybe they could recognize cool things about their body/mind.

I had a friend that was deaf from both ears and when he did acid or shrooms he would tell me he would see the colors and some of them don’t even exist

My cousin is legally blind and when he did peyote (like a stronger mushroom trip) he said that was the first time he could see colors.
