YES! our son wanted a mohawk so bad, but bio dad wouldn't allow it. Day after adoption he got it and LOVED it. He was only 5! I was so happy for him!

I was hospitalized due to an accident. Kids went to foster due to no relatives. CPS literally came to ICU to ask me if they could go to beauty shop.

The law was made because, the state was cutting hair of native American children/African-American children. It was made to protect cultures.

Yaaas! In order to get my youngest hair cut, I had to video it, keep the hair and had it framed for the parents. Btw, adoption day March 23, 2021. 🥰

Unfortunately children are considered property in the system. BioParents still have control over those aspect even if they don't have custody.

YES! I always asked on the first visit how bio parent liked their hair cut so we could keep it kept up. Bio parent felt included and kid got a cut.
