3 years of recovery. Infinite years to go. I use to be scared of seeing the number on the scale go up, but now I can focus on the number of weight I lift go up and be more then content. Instead of hating the rolls my body makes when sitting down I learned to appreciate the rolls my belt creates when bracing properly. Recovery is not a linear process, it is not easy, but it is more than worth it. I wouldn’t be the person I am today, I wouldn’t have achieved everything I have achieved today, if I didn’t choose recovery. Seeing the amazing things your body is capable of when you fuel it properly is a beautiful thing. Yes of course it is cool that I bench 275lbs, but I now hangout with my friends without feeling exhausted the whole time, I am present, I am happy, I can dance with them all night long. I can go to family gatherings and eat the same food that they do, I can go on walks just for the movement of my body, not the need to burn calories. I can go to the gym without feeling like I’m going to pass out, because I have enough energy to fuel me. GO GIVE FOOD TO YOUR BODY. Go give love to your beautiful, strong, body. 🤍
