I only cleaned my gma’s tables and painted 3 coats chalk paint then 2 coats wax. Don’t love it. So now I’m sanding and doing it the right way.

Get a good smooth roller though. You get the wrong one if you are painting by hand you will be left with some strong texture marks.

Mahogany is the WORST for bleed thru. I use a shellac based primer for mahogany stained furniture.
