1 mistake i always made at first was using too much thinner! try not to thin out the paint too much and instead of rinsing ur brush, wipe it on tissue

Ohh best thing I found for oil paint is mixing it with liquin so It dose not take a month to dry

If your willing to let me give a grain of salty advice: oil paints work best on vinyl sheets of soft yet brittle lumps that aren’t white papers.

start with a dilited layer of color using burnt sienna and gamsol. will help the later layers glide on and add more luminence to ur colors!

Tip: u start from the dark parts (shadows etc) and then u go lighter so u can blend whatever u want.

Oil paint is the best!! My favourite medium, use more solvent to make it mix easier/thinner 💓

Another tip, the brushes you used looked a little weak to hold oil, they look like watercolor/acrylic brushes. Hope this helps!! Looks great!!
