if you ask to pick goluboy from all the colors Cian definitely wouldn't be the first choice. it would be baby blue.

we have sth similar in croatian, plava is blue n can range from cyan to azure. then dark blue we call modra

cian is goludoy with little drop of yellow and indigo is siniy with little drop of red. Siniy is primary color while cian and indigo are secondary.

As an ESL Russian, I was always under the impression that "goluboi" was Russian for cyan. Also, "siniy" has stress on the first syllable.
