If it’s happening it’s due to a lack of grounding. Probably actually the wall socket not being grounded.

It’s due to poor grounding/electrical current. Use to happen on the MBAirs all the time. Quick fix is use the grounded 3 prong extension cord.

its not about new or old it depends on the earth grounding on your houses electricity. and whether you are using the plug with the earth cable or not.

It’s because the mac US chargers don’t have an earth pin. Try using a charger an earth pin and it will disappear
