put a little water in the pan before putting the lid on!! it’ll still make the bread crispy but it’ll steam the top and melt the cheese

I have another way, toast one side of the bread flip it place the topings on the side already toasted and let the other side toast. 👍👍

add a tiny splash of water before putting the lid on to steam the cheese so it melts by the time the bread is grilled!

The trick is to heat up the side that the cheese is going to be on first then flip and add the cheese.
