You can’t hook up copper on galvanized there has to be a union or washer to separate the 2 different types of metals. # 1 plumbing mistake.

See we use to do that but now if we don’t use unions at the heater they fail us. Plus they now look for a grounding wire on water/ gas lines. 2k$
