I’ve got a scrumptious Chocolate Cake recipe that’s super easy and quick to make. It’s ready in under an hour and only needs a few simple ingredients. Follow me here Here’s what you’ll need: - 225g room-temperature butter (or baking margarine) - 225g eggs (weight without the eggshells) - 225g caster sugar - 200g self-raising flour - 25g cocoa powder For the Chocolate Ganache: - 200g dark or milk chocolate - 150ml full-fat milk - 3 tablespoons butter Now, let’s get baking: 1. Preheat your oven to 170°C (338°F) and line an 8-inch cake pan with baking paper. Grease the pan as well. 2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the butter, sugar, and eggs until they’re smooth and creamy. 3. Add the flour and cocoa powder to the mixture and stir until just combined. 4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. 5. Once the cake is done, let it cool for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack. Now, let’s make the Chocolate Ganache: 1. In a saucepan, heat the full-fat milk over medium heat until it’s warm. 2. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and add them to a large heat-safe bowl. 3. Add the butter to the bowl and stir everything together until the chocolate is completely submerged in the milk. 4. Let the ganache sit for 5 minutes, then gently stir it with a spatula or whisk until it’s smooth. 5. As the ganache cools, it will thicken. You can make it a few hours in advance and store it in an airtight container. To serve, pour the Chocolate Ganache over the cooled cake, (I like it while it’s still warm) and enjoy! Don’t forget to watch the full video on my YouTube channel. You can find the link in the bio. #chocholatecake #chocolateganache #shakilaskitchenandblogs #fyp
