I had COVID and Long COVID (March 2020). I called a dermatologist after 4 months, as I saw huge clumps of hair in my brush when I’d untangle my hair.

how long ago did you have Covid? My doc said it is normal to loose hair about 3 mo after COVID, but it will stop falling out and grow back on its own.

I got the same thing happening but I just started using collagen every day in my coffee or smoothie. My hair stylist even noticed the difference.

I’m in the same boat. I lost about 60% of my hair. Thankfully I had alot to start with. I have the same one inch hairs as well. I can relate.
