The body has its own profound way of processing and releasing stress and trauma, often beyond what the mind can understand or control. This “shake it off” response is part of our natural, built-in system for self-regulation. When animals experience a stressful event, they instinctively shake afterward to release the tension and reset their nervous system. As humans, we have this same capability, but our minds often intervene, labeling these responses as “unusual” or trying to suppress them. Shaking, trembling, or other spontaneous physical movements can help discharge stored energy that builds up from stress, anxiety, or trauma. When we allow our bodies to move in these ways, without judgment or trying to “correct” it, we’re honoring the body’s wisdom. This process bypasses the mind’s need to analyze or rationalize and instead lets the nervous system reset naturally. Trusting that the body “knows what to do” is incredibly freeing. It’s an invitation to let go of control and allow the body’s intelligence to work, often guiding us toward healing in ways our minds might not comprehend. This deep, somatic wisdom shows us that healing isn’t always logical, it’s about surrendering to the body’s processes, trusting that our system knows how to return to balance when we step out of the way. . . . #spinalenergetics #energywork #energyhealing #reikihealing #nervoussystemregulation #breathwork #breathworktiktok #breathworktechnique #somatichealing #somatictherapy #somaticexperiencing #traumainformed #energyinmotion #SelfImprovement #selfregulation #mindbodyspirit #mindbodysoul #mindbodyconnection #bodywork
