I bought cotton seed meal at the feed store to use as a nitrogen fixer. It was pretty cheap but I'm not sure how soon it's available.

If Im not mistaken u can put hair in ur mulch bed and that will help with the nitrogen. I know that sounds weird but I’m about 99.9% sure that’s true
