When I do a logo with text it leaves the inside of letters white and when I try to make them transparent or delete them it takes away the space in the font totally. How to I fix this

That is insane amount of work when you can just open the bitmap in ai and convert it to vector. Actually Corel’s trace bitmap tool is way better.
