✨Tash Tish Tosh: Tulang Merah Reimagined ✨ Food: 🍽️🍽️🍽️🍽️ Ambience: 🍽️🍽️🍴 Value: 🍽️🍽️🍽️🍽️ Today we're talking about Tulang Merah (Red Bone Soup). This true-blue Singaporean culinary creation was the perfect choice when @safwanandonly visited from Brunei. First up, the Red Bone Tulang. The moment this dish landed on our table, I knew we were in for something special. The gravy here is the real star – it's got this incredible earthiness with just the right tang that keeps you coming back for more. You can taste the hours of work that went into developing those layers of flavour. The bone marrow itself? Butter-soft and so decadent. But here's the genius move: they serve it with cloud-soft bread that's practically begging to soak up every last drop of that magnificent gravy. Trust me, you'll want to mop up every last drop. Then there's the Battleship. If you're a fan of buttery pastry (and who isn't?), you're going to fall hard for this one. The crust was beautifully buttery and paired perfectly with the tender beef cubes swimming in a sauce that had a distinct satay influence. It's rich, complex and delicious. One thing you can't do here is be shy. These dishes are meant to be eaten with your hands. Yes, you'll get messy, and yes, it's totally worth it. They even provide straws for slurping up the bone marrow, which is both fun and practical. We did also try their wings, which were merely adequate. The blue cheese sauce was particularly disappointing. That said, we hardly minded since we were so thoroughly impressed by the Tulang Merah. Fair warning though: both the tulang dishes are seriously rich. While everything is packed with incredible flavour, I found myself wishing for something acidic or fresh to cut through all that decadence. Perhaps order a side of something light to balance things out. Bottom line: Come hungry, bring wet wipes, and prepare for a gloriously messy feast that's worth every napkin you'll use. @tashtishtosh 📍50 Kandahar St #puvsplate #sgfoodie #sgfood #sgeats #tulang #singapore #halal#halalfood #tashtishtosh
