That includes water from a combi. Water below 50 degrees sitting in pipework is a breeding ground for legionella

Quick calc...on an average bath you would save ~2p/bath for every degreeC you reduce the temperature by (certain assumptions made).

So turning hot water down , you are only going to fill bath with hot water only , if you have water hotter you will blend with cold water ,

This I a legionella risk. the boiler should be set at least 55°, legionella breeds in pipework as well as stored water
