My 2011 traverse had the timing chain go out I had to replace the whole top part of the motor. Got it back and a we later traded it in for an Acura!

The VVT’s.. gets me every time! Explain to me what oil in the connectors have to do with a timing chain.

Not bad my 01 jaguar xjr is an inference engine and the timing chains guide broke on my driving around 60mph original ones were plastic had them

Eco tech= economy technology. They all use oil and the owners refuse to service them in time. Timing chains for days. Love doing the water pump too

the 4 cyl is a hard job. just replace the vvt years and guides and chains and move on

Need to pull the oil pan on those too. Check for metal frags. Guides are a known issue and will cause engine replacement

them plastic tensioners/guides melt all the time in those equinoxes 2010-2014 so if you own one don't let it overheat and never let it get low on oil

easy job I like doing them. I have an 06 cobalt been a good car did a chain at 190k, the new kits have an updated oil nozzle for more flow
