It’s scientifically impossible to spot reduce fat. when you’re doing exercises in the gym, you’re not targeting the body fat in that area. You are building muscle in that area. Which of course is great, but a lot of you ladies don’t understand that you will never get rid of that belly pooch or see your abs if you constantly have a layer of fat covering them. We all already have abs. If you don’t see them, it’s because you need to lower your body fat percentage - aka you need to be in a calorie deficit. I’m not saying you can’t do ab exercises, but what I am saying is you need to understand the science of how fat loss works and understand WHY you are doing certain things… instead of just copying fitness influencer ab routines hoping that it’s going to work. and trust me, I used to be that girl. I remember following Alexis ren’s ab routine on YouTube RELIGIOUSLY 🤣 like every day lol. And I gaslighted myself into thinking it was working lol. I just didn’t want to face the truth. That my “toned tummy” would actually be revealed in the kitchen - having the right macro nutrient targets + a consistent calorie deficit to get rid of belly fat usually the answers you’re looking for lies in the work you’re not willing to do.
