At my school 0’s aren’t allowed to be given… we grade starting at 50 going to 100 so anything under 50 just doesn’t exist.

I’ve had an admin use the argument that an F is an F no matter if it’s a 50 or a 12. He then questioned us on why there was so many F’s.

High school teacher here: I give zeros, but every other Friday I do “get it done Friday”. Give kids a progress report and let them work. No new work.

my old high school had it where for somethings if you didn't turn it in on time, you get up until a certain point, don't turn it in, boom, a zero

For delayed homework, 50% is fine but if you didn't DO the work, they should still get 0s
