Microwave corn for 4 minutes, cut off end and husk/silk cones off easy verified by @partyshirt not sure if it changes things before the rest though.

Corn cleaning hack. If you microwave it for four minutes then cut off the ends and squeeze opposite end it slides off. I'm sure you can find videos
