@danielbbasa: This Horseshoe Crab (Limulus polyphemus) is a living fossil. 🤯 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Did you know that Horseshoe Crabs are not actually crabs? They are actually more closely related to arachnids. They have blue blood that is extremely valuable for research and the medical field. They have remained relatively unchanged in millions of years, even before the dinosaurs. I found this individual while snorkeling in some pretty murky visibility and I even ran right into a nine foot Bull Shark right before finding this horseshoe crab. Always a pleasure finding these prehistoric creatures.
